Late Sunday Post

Yesterday I finally got myself out the door for a run.  It looked like it was going to be a bit windy, but sunny.  After the previous days' 21 mile excursion, I figured 8 easy on the roads would be good.  I mapped out a loop from my house and set off.  The legs felt pretty good and I decided to just not look at my garmin as I went and just run at what felt comfortable.  When I have run on roads, I've been wearing my inov-8 flyroc's, which are getting more and more comfy.  The loop took me on part of the Mid-Winter Classic route and along my old bike route.  I fell into a comfortable pace and it actually felt good to be moving.  Since this was an old loop, I knew what was coming up, so I focused on one point at a time (blinking intersection, gelato place, christmas tree farm, marsh) and soon they ticked away.  When I uploaded my run it was slower than it felt, but it was a recovery run, so I guess that was to be expected.  I ended up with about 8.1 miles.  Off today and then the PBR tomorrow after several weeks away for various reasons.  I'm finding myself trying to perceive whether it feels light out longer yet...so far, not really!
